Debate FIRST ROW: Carolynne Warfield, Harriet Templeton, Rosemary Dellwo, Virginia Kanzler. SECOND ROW Sharon Lee, Linda Simpson, Bob McBeth, Odette Gilbert, Terry Wells. Everyone knows that our fall and winter sports program includes football, wrestling, basketball, baseball, and track. However, there is another added to the list also. This sport is Debate. In essence the debate season has no ending or beginning, but is con- tinuous throughout the year. Good argumentation is based upon fact and logic. In order to establish either of these, a debater must have a solid and current knowledge of the subject. This requires constant study and preparation. This years' resolution reads specifically: Resolved that the Federal Government of the United States Should Substantially Increase its Regulation of Labor Unions. Taking the affirmative stance, Mead was represented by Bob McBeth and Terry Wells. On the negative Harriet Templeton and Rosemary Dellwo took on all challengers. The Northwest District League of which our school is a member consists of all the city schoolsg Gonzaga Prep, Marycliff, Little Flower, all the valley schools, Cheney and Mead. At the close of each year any debator can certainly look back with pleasure at the programs he or she has made in the field of personal experience, logical thinking and concrete analyzation of material.
