School Leaders The Council, made up of home room representatives class presi dents, and student body officers, is the key supervisor of all student body activities. Homecoming Events The Senior Class presented their version of a festival occasion when they set out to make the Homecoming Week of '59 an event to re- member. On October 21, the Pep Rally was organized with a car caravan following. Friday, October 22, started out with a football game and crown- ing of Queen Margaret Freeborg and her court, Princesses Harriet Templeton and Peggy Cerenzia. This evening was highlighted with a dance where Margaret was recrowned and escorted onto the floor, for the spotlight dance, by football captain, Wayne Christenson. ' I' ff I

Cross Country For the first time in Mead High School a Cross -Country team was organized. This team was under the direction of Mr. Kvenevold with Tim Dschaak and Frank Knott as Co-Captains. The team competed with all city schools and Moses Lake. Frank Knott won the University of Washington Cross -Cormtry Invitational, and was undefeated.
