Stevenson touched life with a fine sense of values and a com- prehensive view of what may be considered true worth. lll health limited his enthusiasm and the range of his travels. nevertheless he knew the richness of things and claimed his hare of the world's beauty. Many successful people have much to make them unhappy. They could crab about their ill luck and grumble the day through over their handicaps and hardships of life. But. nol They see the world as a treasure house full of fine things and many blessings. all. the number of things. They are content to means and enjoy knowing about the rest. It is not can enjoy it or own many things to be happy. We trying to own too many things. These people do not try to own them possess such as is within their reach and necessary that we own a thing before we perhaps have impoverished ourselves by Knowledge is a source of wealth and happiness. Knowledge brings within our range of appreciation and enjoyment the things we cannot own. A love of beauty will open a thousand doors to charm the eye and cap- tivate the senses. An appreciation of people will cause the mass of human folks to disappear as strangers and appear as friends. The information in books enables the wisdom of the ages to regale the mind.
