Wrestling Preseason expectations were dim for the ‘“Mustochioed Coach”, for he was without a substantial HWT. or UNL. How- ever, with the ‘Bear Club” and ““Mighty Midgets” behind him, things worked out all right. Formulating the theory of ‘Per- formance, Not Potential’’ one cold Saturday night, they knock- ed off County Champs, East Rochester, as the ‘Master Dealer’’ dealt them Chris Poluikis at 177. They also sliced up the ‘Top Banana” in the City-Catholic League, Madison, with everyone, especially freshman Joe Ross, contributing to the overall team effort. This earned them “a piece of the pie’, as we tied for the League Championship, a remarkable achievement for two seniors, five juniors, four sophomores, and a freshman. Not much more can be said about this fine 13-2 season except, LOOK OUT FOR MCQUAID NEXT YEAR.
