It provides an op- portunity for each and every student to participate in an organized athletic program and fosters a spirit of competitive rivalry between classes. Under the direction of Father McNamara, SJ., and Father Finnegan, SJ., intramurals have been extended to include football, basketball, volleyball, and softball. One of the highest goals of every homeroom in the school is to win the intramural championship in one of the four sports which the program includes.
