The Trade and lndustry program, directed by Mr. Fred Officer, teaches employment techniques, coordinates the student with business, and enables on-the-job training. ln this way, many have found their life's vocation. Working with wood and having each boy complete his own chosen project is Mr. Paul Anderson, woodwork teacher. Through his instruction, students learn the details of using shop machinery to the best advantage. Mechanical drawing and home mechanics are taught by Mr. Hen- ry Hahn. Mechanical drawing demands precise measurements and planning, while home mechanics allows the girls to learn practical duties J such as simple wiring or woodwork Y of a good home- maker. Tinkering with a car can prove to be educational as taught under Mr. George Boone. Boys are allowed to ex- periment with their ideas to produce mechanical perfection.
