JOHN STREIFF Flats, Nebraska inf I The 1963 Seniors entered their freshman year of high school on August 31, 1959. Our class consisted of seventeen members: eleven boys and six girls. We elected our officers: Don Moore - - - - ------ President Darrel Munson - - - ---- Vice-President Lorraine Streiff - - - - - Secretary-Treasurer Jeroldine Harvey - - ----- News Reporter Mr. Gumma -------------------- Sponsor The seniors initiated us Sept. 3, 1959. The girls wore men's clothing and the boys wore women's clothing. We gave the seniors a Thank You party Sept. 11 , 1959. Our money raising project was selling newspaper subscriptions. August 29, 1960, saw us as sophomores with the same class members. Officers were: Tom Ellis --------------------- President Jeroldine Harvey - - ----- - Vice-President Judy Smith ---- - - Secretary-Treasurer Eldon Starr - - - - - - - - News Reporter Mr . Wiberg --------------- ------ S ponsor To make money we sold Christmas cards and bumperstrips. As juniors, everyone returned on August 28, 1961. We elected officers: Roger Neal -------------------- President Jeroldine Harvey - - --------- - Vice-President Darrel Munson - - ---- - Treasurer Don Moore - - - - - - - - Secretary Mr , Wiberg --------------------- Sponsor The class sold magazine subscriptions to raise money for the Prom. The theme was The Old South. We honored the Seniors of 1962 on April 20, 1962. September 3, 1962 started our senior year at McPherson County High School. We chose officers as follows: Roger Neal - - - - - - - - President Ron Dobbins - - - - - Vice-President Judy Smith --------------- Secretary-Treasurer As the motto we chose Knowledge is the Key to Success. Mr. Brown was our sponsor. We took two days off from school and toured Colorado on April 25-28, 1963. Baccalaureate Services were held May 12, 1963, at the Tryon Methodist Church. Commencement Exercises were held for the graduating class on May 16, 1963. This was the finale of our years as a part of McPherson County High School. The 1963 seniors have gone their separate ways. Courtesy of NORTH PLATTE CORDAGE North Platte, Nebraska Wed We, the dignified 1963 Seniors of McPherson County High School, being of sound mind, make our last will and testament. To all the underclassmen we will our unpaid bills, textbooks, paperwads, chewing gum, carved up desks and teachers. I, Twyla Avery, will my volleyball serving record to Maretta Schmidt. Good luck! ! ! I, Mike Connell, will all my old romances to Larry Stoddard. I, Ruth Connell, will my ability to always open my mouth and say the wrong thing at the wrong time to Wilma Connell. I, John Daigger, will my extra weight to Leland Essary. I, Ron Dobbins, will my goofin' off to Gary Kemp. I, Tom Ellis, will my big mouth to Myron Shineman. I, Jeroldine Harvey, will my grades the past four years to any underclassman that feels he needs them. I, Wayne Melvin, will my name Thermo to Gary Kemp. I, Don Moore, will my experiments with explosives to Larry Paxton. I, Darrel Munson, will my ability to come out of the night before to Mike Coty. I, Eugene Neal, will my good looks to Larry Stoddard. Don't let too many girls bite. I, Roger Neal, will my speed in running to Bobbie Gregg. I, Ron Paxton, will my 53 sec. quarter to Gary Kemp. I, Lorraine Streiff, will my enthusiasm for working on the annual to Lorna Miller. LOOKING INTO THE FUTURE WE SEE - Don Moore as the owner of an explosives plant. Just think, he discovered the formula in our biology class . Darrel Munson still droopy eyed and half asleep from Sat. nights. John Daigger still trying to convince his wife that sheep are more profitable than Angus cattle. Eldon Starr as a millionaire and he gives the senior class enough money to go to Hawaii on their Sneak Trip each year. Twyla Avery has become a secretary for a big New York firm and is now married to the boss's son. Roger Neal happily married to a six foot blond that he met in college. Eugene Neal has married several years after high school and is living north of Tryon. Ruth Connell as a secretary to the President. She keeps us all informed on the happening in Wash- ington, D.C. Ron Dobbins married to his high school sweetheart and they now drive a Thunderbird, having handed the red and white Ford down to Jr. Ron Paxton living on his own ranch. He and his wife are raising Angus cattle and Redheads. Tom Ellis has recently finished medical school and now has his own TV series Dr. Cure-All. Mike Connell conducting his guided tours of the Dismal River National Park. Wayne Melvin has recently won the Mr. America title. Lorraine Streiff owns her own ranch. She is raising horses and training them to fall gently. Joann Stoddard has won the Mother of the Year Contest. Jeroldine Harvey has 24 children. She found them cheaper by the dozen. Judy Smith married and her theme song is still Red Fords and twins. Courtesy of MILES SNYDER Flats, Nebraska I PROM APRIL 19, 1963 . r rs? lf EER .Runnin-O W Courtesy of LE0 CASH R. E.
