FACULTY challenges student minds McPherson College campus was the scene of life and action as students, under the guidance of faculty, realized the infinite boundaries in the world of knowledge and understanding. From the atmosphere of a formal classroom to the natural setting of a dormitory, Student Union, or library, students were challenged to stretch their minds beyond the point of mere accept- ance as they began to see new glimpses of reality. Faculty members, consisting of 47 men and women, are as unique as any individuals on cam- pus. Their daily endeavors rest not only in the realm of creating a stimulating course, but also in counseling students, sponsoring organiza- tions, speaking in chapel, attending innumer- able meetings, and being a genuine friend to many students. Increasing by seven members this year, the faculty includes 36 full time and ll part time professors. Fifteen hold doctorate degrees. College facilities include 12 major buildings which are spread over 25 acres of campus area. Four dormitories provide temporary homes for single students, in addition to two developments for married couples. Brown Auditorium and Friendship Hall bring opportunity for social gathering and cultural enlightenment while the Student Union stands as the hub of all campus activity. Beeghly Library and the six remaining buildings constitute the formal classroom atmo- sphere on the campus.
