The ghost of Fruma Sahra comes to haunt Tevye in his dream Yente the matchmaker comes to tell Golde Chava tells her papa of her impending mar- of the ttperfect match for TzeiteL riage to Fyedka. W The Sunset Of Tradition ttFiddler 0n the Roof proved T to be one of the best musicals produced at McNick. l Audiences, captivated with the brilliant characterization of Tevye by Kelly Corken, gave a standing ovation at the end of all three performances. Other excellent portrayals included Golde, Tzeitel, Hodel, Chava, Yente, Motel, and Pcrchik. Special mention goes to Jeannie McClure, whose dramatic performance as Fruma Sarah both astounded and delighted everyone. The orchestra, made of mostly McNickTs own students and graduates, provided the music. John Vennemeyer, the actual fiddler 0n the roof, and Erich Frank, the wedding clarinet player, each turned in splendid solo spots. Sr. Judi, Mr. Salerno, Mr. Mahaffey, and Mr. OtConner are deserving 70f much praise for their efforts in making the show a success. Tradition lives on through the hard work, joys, tears, and happiness that every musical brings with it.
