The first reason being it was the twenty- fifth Mardi Gras Ball celebrated here at McNick. Tradition changed down through the years until finally the ball has emerged as the most important event of every school yeari The second memorable point of the Anniver- sary Ball was the postponement of its date because of the extreme weather. Beyond these two rea- sons is the fact that the court and ceremony were singularly beauti- ful and deserving of the praise. Queen Jeanne McClure and King Gary Gatio were voted and crowned by their fellow students for their service, dedication, and loyalty. The evening turned out to be a magical success.
