Bacchus » acchus is one of over 300 chapters organized to instill in the university community an awareness of the dangers of alcohol and drug abuse. One of its most publicized events was Substance Awareness Week when Bacchus worked to promote the awareness of alcohol and drug abuse. Serving as advisor is Jo Eddie Dowers, associate dean of Student Services; and Wayne Taylor, director of the Wesley Foundation, is co-advisor. The 1987-88 officers include: Jeff Smith, president; Lori Broussard, vice pres- ident; Marion Mills, secretary-treasurer; Doug Stewart, reporter; and Stacy DeBose, senator.
