352 ¢ Closing May 2, 1982 | From the Desk of the Editor. . . The 1981-82 Log through innovation, ideas and pictures has captured the involvement of our | students, faculty, administration, and has recorded the most important events which have Oc- curred during the year, and put them into words ... words which will help you shape your | memories into something solid and fresh. | It is impossible here to give a more detailed account of the 1981-82 events on the McNeese Campus, which are far more numerous than the small but efficient staff could cover. We hope by looking through this book, you will be able to recall some of the happiness, the people and the fun you encountered while attending McNeese. It must be remembered that a staff of dedicated students, not professionals, is responsible for what you see. We have each | striven for a degree of professionalism in attempting to solve our problems and mistakes, yet we humbly accept success. There were days when everything imaginable went wrong, it seemed as if all our efforts were in| vain, but somehow the staff would regroup and carry on. Iam sure | can speak for the rest of the staff in stating that we have all been involved in a train- ing process in which we have benefitted in many ways. Having fulfilled my duties, | would like to thank everyone for giving me the opportunity to serve as the editor of the 198 1-82 Log. | | also would like to give special thanks to: President and Mrs. Doland, Gary Snyder, Peggy Petty, Barbara Landry, Voris King, Louis Bonnette, Glenn Rutledge, Katheryn Kingery, Barbara Belew, Danielle Brown, Thomas Gibbs, John Chenet and Mark Jones for all their help in making this book a success. | hope that as a reader you will gain as much satisfaction in reading “The Log” as | have in put- ting it together. “ee | Sincerely yours, | y me Lat Mi, [seer (i Ly Mp Paitth, af Carl Wayne Smith Editor-in-Chief
