Gordon Liddy told a group of 1,200 students, faculty and visitors who attended his lecture March 3, 1982. Liddy, known as the one who never talked during the infamous Watergate hearings, captivated his audience with his somewhat awesome knowledge of the American world today. This com- bined with touches of humor, left most listeners with a definite ad- miration for Liddy. Liddy averages 85 lectures a year on campuses throughout the United States. LIVING SOUND Living Sound International is an aggressive music organization that uses contemporary Christian music as a tool to reach people for Christ. Living Sound was founded by a group of university students in the spring of 1969 to conduct weekend evangelistic concerts. They experienced an over- whelming response to their ministry and felt God’s call on their lives to conduct a mission to Southern Africa. Under the leadership of its founder Rev. Terry Law, Living Sound launched a full-time evangelistic outreach in June 1969. Membership is approximately 90 persons, including five full-time teams in the USA and abroad. Team members are now coming from around the world: South Africa, Sweden, Canada, and Great Britain. Living Sound V is made up entirely of Soviet young people. In the coming years, Living Sound hopes to have teams ministering on a fulltime basis on every continent of the earth. Living Sound’s major thrust during their first ten years of existence has been devoted to overseas missions. L I V | n S O U n d Events 27
