The American Society of Mechanical Engineers is a professional organization which, through its activities, strives to advance knowledge of the theory and practice of mechanical engineering. It also strives to promote a professional awareness and fellowship among members of engineering profession. Members also participate in activities during the annual Engineering Week. 328 ¢ Organizalifeay Chi Alpha is a national organization of students who unite to express the person and claims of Jesus Christ to their campus communities and call others into a relationship with Him. It takes its name from “Christou apostoi,” ‘ Christ’s sent ones.” It is in joint submission to Jesus’ command, “That ye love one another, as | have loved you” (john 13:34). This flow of love enabled and sustained by the Holy Spirit and His gifts. It pro- cedes harmony among the members and testifies to the divinity of Jesus. Chi Alpha’s discipleship finds its directive in the authority of God’s revelation, the Holy Scripture. Chi Alpha is not only centralized on the McNeese campus, but also includes different outreach ministries of which members can become involved in. Included in these ministries are high schools, hospitals, drama, music, and small groups.
