Tau Epsilon Kappa is an honor fraternity in technical theatre founded here at McNeese on March 5, 1982. The purpose of Tau Ep- silon Kappa is to gain and promote an appreciation for the live stage presentations through the knowledge, ap- plication, and experimenta- tion of technical theatre aesthetics. The Home’ Economics Association is a professional Organization for Home Economics majors. Their goal is to assist members in development in their field and related areas. The association also assists students in becoming § ac- quainted with people who have gained recognition in home economics. Pi Kappa Delta is an honorary fraternal organiza- tion for intercollegiate debaters, individual event competitors, nonclassroom audience speakers and in- structors teaching courses in oral communication. Its pur- pose Is to promote scholar- ship, especially in the field of forensic speaking in senior American colleges and universities. The membership of Pi Kappa Delta is com- posed of men and women united in the ideal of free speech — the art of persua- sion, beautiful and just. For over half a century, Pi Kappa Delta members through research, leadership, and ser- vice have nurtured, en- couraged, and promoted higher ethics and increased proficiency in the use of the spoken word as the means of clarifying, guiding, and protecting the democratic . processes of our American Members: Ito r: Jack Rogers — President, Lawana Holmes, Donna Spears — Secretary, Tom heritage. The Wesley Foundation is the United Methodist Church on the McNeese campus. Its purpose is to interpret the faith and doctrines of the church . in terms of the needs and in- terests of the college and com- munity. It provides the oppor- tunity for students to discover more meaning and purpose for their lives through the Christian faith. Its regular events con- sisted of a group . meeting every week for a free supper and chapel. After the service there was a program consisting of an educational, spiritual, in- formative, or entertaining theme. The Wesley Foundation also hosted an Open House Fellowship after each home football game. The officers for the 1981-82 term are: President — David DeWitt Vice President — Karen Holcomb Secretary Treasurer — Jena Cagle Director — Vera Coe The International Student Association is an organization which serves to aid in building friendship and understanding between American and Interna- tional students. It aids foreign students in adjusting to the American culture, tradition and way of life, and © encourages American students to learn as much about the native countries of the foreign students. The association also aids in helping the international students fit into campus life. The activities for this group are mainly social, and they always have a party for the purpose of getting the members acquainted with each other. The membership is open to any McNeese student or faculty member.
