Debate Team competed in twelve tournaments covering an area from Col- Orado to South Carolina and from Michigan to Louisiana. They won eighteen trophies and plaques. The highlight of the debate season was a victory against Har- vard University which was televised from the Civic Center as part of Contraband Days. The . The McNeese Student Nurses Association is an organization designed to aid in the preparation of student nurses for participation in professional organizations. The association promotes respon- sibility and self-expression among its members and encourages them to develop the ability to participate in organizational work. It also strives to create a sense of unity, cooperation, and understanding for improvement in professional growth. The student nurses take part each year in a special capping ceremony. The members strive to provide a ser- vice to the university, community and the country. Der Ratskeller members participated in a German Festival in which they took a field trip to Austin, Texas. Dr. Kim Bowman served as faculty advisor, and Dan Kunzweiler served as president for the 1981- 82 term.
