nO Los Rancheros is a pro- fessional organization designed to broaden the education of its members in the Spanish language, music, and literature. Not limited to Spanish speak- ing students, the Los Ran- cheros attempts to study the culture of Spanish countries in general. Through its activities, the organization strives to pro- vide a service to McNeese, the community, and the country. Dr. Maria Bustillo served as faculty advisor for the 1981-82 term. PaAMNMRORT ° The Forestry and Wildlife Club is an action organization, alwayS — —--u- looking for projects to bring about improvement of our environ- ment. Some of these projects in- clude wood duck nesting boxes, goose banding, the annual Whisky River Clean Up, helping the Heart Fund, and presenting environmental films. The club boasts winning the ROTC “Shoot-out” three consecutive semesters to win the trophy. While a serious group, they also enjoy barbeques, crawfish boils, and canoe trips. Alpha Psi Omega is a na- tional honorary organization for dramatics. It was founded on the McNeese campus in 1940. A student must per- form on stage and work backstage before being in- itiated into the group. A stu- dent then becomes a lifetime member. Cynthia May SDONSOte eee Jerry Brown The A Cappella Choir membership is made up of students from the various academic departments. MSU's A Cappella Choir is called on to perform for churches and clubs, in addi- tion to the regularly schedul- ed choral concerts and the annual spring tour made by these McNeese musicians. Many members also par- ticipate in the annual Lions Club opera productions and in the presentations by the Lake Charles Messiah Chorus. The choir as a whole often is invited to perform with other organizations.
