This year has been one of many firsts for the Student Government under the administration of President John Chenet and Vice President Curt Gober. SGA in 82 has become a new dimension in student leadership. New programs begun this year include: Cowboy of the Week, Mr. McNeese, and Spirit Boosters. Other firsts for SGA include having the constitution rewrit- ten thereby making the office of Treasurer elected, sponsoring the weekly campus news program on KBIU, and increasing the SGA assessment to assist other campus organizations in their efforts to promote McNeese. The SGA John Chenet — President cabinet’s greatest accomplishment, however, was putting the interests of the students first in their every endeavor.
