Alpha Delta Pi is the oldest sorority, founded in 1851. The motto, “We live for each other,” is held dear by every Alpha Delta Pi sister. Each Alpha Delta Pi is different in her own way, each possessing her own specialty. Through respect for each other and activities planned for each other, the ties of sisterhood are pulled even tighter. The Alpha Delta Pi girls are a big part of other campus activities and organizations. They feel that striving towards a stronger bond, includes | reaching out to others.

Fresh out of high school you may find it a totally new experience to be only a face in a crowd. It develops a young man’s leadership © 7 TE ability. A lot of times a fellow may get in a group FRATERNITIES where he doesn’t know a lot of people, or he’s in a big meeting with four or five hundred students, and he’s afraid to get up and say anything. If he is in a : fraternity with fifty or sixty other guys he knows real FRATERNITIES — well, he develops guts enough to get up on his feet | and tell people what he thinks. He learns to get along with people and learns to speak out for himself, and those things are very important. FRATERNITIES Also, being in a fraternity ultimately leads a young man to take better care of himself personally. Frater- nities help them recognize themselves as part of a — team. You’d be surprised at the number of successful business men who take a serious interest in their fraternity, and employers hire fraternity men because they know they’re getting quality workers. a You have to be on the ball to make it in this day and time. You can’t just lay back and play the percentages any more. Being in a fraternity teaches you to always put your best foot forward. Greeks ¢ 265
