CONFERENCE TEAM INCLUDES DUMARS, AND CHAFFOULD McNeese State’s Joe Dumars and Fred Chaffould were named to the all-Southland Conference basketball team for the 1981-82 season. Dumars and Chaffould were among the five members selected to this year’s team. The others were Ralph McPherson and Albert Culton of Texas-Arlington and Alford Turner of Southwestern Louisiana. Dumars, who led the league in scoring with an 18.1 average, is a native of Natchitoches and a freshman. Chaffould, who led the SLC in re- bounding with an 11.4 average, is a junior from Monroe. Texas- Arlington’s Culton was named “Player of the Year” in the conference.
