The shot capped off one of the best efforts of the season for the Cowboys. After being down at halftime, McNeese pulled out in front of the Cardinals. The game then went to the Pokes advantage as they, supported by a very LOUD MSU crowd, controlled the momentum of the contest. McNeese called time out with 12 seconds left, Joe Dumars then calmly took a pass from David Green and hit the shot heard round the world or at least the con- ference anyway. The win brought McNeese’s season record to 12-11 and their conference tally to 3-3. Above: top, Barbier signals for the ball. Bottom: Chaffould goes for the shot. Sports 215
