46 Fine Arts’ Wall Collapses A section of wall connecting the old Fine Arts Building to a newer addition collapsed at 3:15 p.m., Friday, Nov. 10, on the McNeese campus. No injuries were reported as the 65- foot wall fell on the roof of the building. However, the Bayou Players’ produc- tion of ‘‘The Mousetrap’’ was post- poned. Three classrooms, three offices, several rehearsal rooms, and a part of Squires Recital Hall were damaged by the falling bricks. A new wall was erected in the build- ing by use of emergency funding from the Board of Liquidation. Repairs stemming from the collapse totalled at approximately $64,400, according to Paul Ritter, Director of Facilities and Planning. Bolts were placed in the back wall behind the stage in Ralph Squires Auditorium — a section built in the same way as the one that had fallen. The fallen wall was a free-standing one, not connected to the building in any way. Leta? an Fey ket ‘.
