Freshmen Write-up The Freshmen Class made its grand entry into McNary High School September 2, l94l, but did not become a real part of the student body until after undergoing a per- fect week of UHell.W During those days, one was not am- azed to see a girl dashing about in a bathing suit H a la high heelsn and boys displaying their love and inter- est in feminine charm by donning evening frocks of the latest creations with the most recent improvements of cosmetics to make them really glamorous--what more could be desired in the modern age. Having survived this reign of terror subjected to these noble and illustrious Freshmen by those cruel, heartless Hcrittersn of the upper classes, the Freshmen began to plod through their plebe year. Christmas the Freehies felt proud to have Santa come to be a part of their program, and to leave all the lads and lassies and faculty members who had been a good HChristmas PacKage.n By January l6 there had been other ambitious per- sons to join the group to make it the largest and most spectacular class. The number twenty-five may not have any special jinxg therefore we hope it will bring best of luck to the class. The Freshmen felt proud to have as president, Patty Hayes, who has been in McNary through most of their gram- mar school days and with her guidance the Freshmen spon- sored a most successful Easter Dance April A and everyone found it great to be promenading on the Easter Parade. To end the activities for this year the Freshmen had a May Day picnic out at Blue Lake and midst of the fro- lic they made plans for their Sophomore year for which they are looking forward with the greatest of expecta- tions. Here's to the Sophos of '42 and remember Pearl Harbor as we become the Seniors for we do want to Keep 'em Flying always.
