Girl's G mnasts Send One to State. McNary's girl gymnasts finished the season with a respectable 5-7 sea- son record. Especially rewarding was the defeat of cross-town rivals North and South Highs. ln district 8 competition the celt girls placed third with individual hon- ors going to Cindy Moles on the balance beam and Meri McColl on the uneven parallel bars. Celtic gymnasts also qualified two girls for state competi- tion: Denise Fox in the floor exercise and uneven parallel bars and Meri McColl in all around competition. Boys Send Two, Although Celtic gymnasts managed only one win in regular season competition they showed a great deal of form and prom- ise. Led by senior captain Ron Comer, the Celtics placed Mc- Nary 6th in District 8 competition at McMinnville, March 7. Outstanding individual performances were turned in by Ron Comer who placed 2nd on the parallel bars and Ron Walker, who placed 3rd in the long horse. Matmen, Have 4-4 Record in ual Meets The 68-69 Celtic grapplers managed a respectable 4 win-4 loss rec- ord in dual meet competition. The mighty Celtics also managed to place the lV1cNary blue and White third in District 8 A-1 competition behind Corvallis and Lebanon. Dave Luke, who was undefeated the entire season, continued his im- pressive record in dis trict competition and finished the season with 24 wins.
