Boys Send Two, Although Celtic gymnasts managed only one win in regular season competition they showed a great deal of form and prom- ise. Led by senior captain Ron Comer, the Celtics placed Mc- Nary 6th in District 8 competition at McMinnville, March 7. Outstanding individual performances were turned in by Ron Comer who placed 2nd on the parallel bars and Ron Walker, who placed 3rd in the long horse. At the state tournament in Eugene, March 14-15, McNary was the only school in the Salem area to place a team mem- ber in the top ten category as Ron Comer managed an Sth place on the parallel bars. gr sri? fftt 1 -2- 1 2 4 l H ,iii imp il S ff 3 -JM ig WEP t Z gif y
