Celt ridmen Have 1-9 Record 1968 proved to be a year of disappointment for the Cel- tic gridmen as their only win came against Sweethome 26- 19. Though McNary's season record of 1-8 was not statisti- cally very impressive, the mighty Celts still proved to be ad- mirable foes for the other teams in the league. In fact two of McNary's losses were decided by a single point: Lebanon 6- 7 and North 19-20. Two other games were decided by one touchdown. The future looks increasingly better for the Celtics how- ever as 30 juniors and 64 sophomores will return next year to carry the blue and white to victory. Among those return- ing next year will be fullback Ethan Bergman who carried the ball 133 times for 471 yards and punter Mike Chown who averaged 25.8 yards per kick. Other hopeful starters will include Jeff Beals and Ken DeLooze at running backs and Rex Yoder at quarterback. DoS21rl. BOU McKee, Rick Morley, Larry Lewis, Mike Gregg, Eric Oleson. Mike Yourkowski.
