Ten Selected Quill 8a Scrol An informal barbecue served as the initiation and only social function of the year for Quill and Scroll, national journalism honor society. Four members ofthe Piper staff and five from the Claymore staff were tapped for mem- bership by this group during 1968-69. One member, Kay Hoerauf, had been tapped during the previous year. To gain recognition in this way, a staff member must be at least a junior and must rank in the upper one third of his class scholastically. He must have done outstanding work in some staff position for at least one semlester. Members were Dale Blanton, Becky Hjort, Randy Hledik, Bruce Hoerauf, Kay Hoerauf, Kathy Rollins, Julie Ross, Connie Sodeman, Becky Trommlitz, and Debbie Updegraff. Mrs. Vanderford and Mrs. Six were the advisors. Far left: Honor society members vote on a motion.
