Language Clubs Grow Mass participation, early lunch for noon gatherings, cultural understanding of foreign countries, caroling at Fair- view, selling American Field Service Christmas cards, supporting a Peruvian child named Rosa, a Pinata party, pot- lucks, collections for the needy . . . these were the language clubs' functions. Under the guidance of Mrs. Zupo, the French Club with 65 members had the largest enrollment of all the lan- guage clubs. Leading the club members were President, Norma Winslow, Vice- President, Kathy Rollins, Secretary, Kristi Mills, Treasurer, Shelly Stephens. Anyone with language background in German was admitted into the Ger- man Club. Office holders were Presi- dent, Leif Blensly, Vice-President, Kathy Neuswangerg Secretary-Treasur- er, Janet Moore. Adviser was Mr. Boost. Latin Club served school, commu- nity, and world. Elected to the author- ity of this purpose was President, Jerry Kliewerg Vice-President, Sue Peet, Sec- retary, Kathi Dombrowskyg Treasurer, Mary Simila. Counseling Latin Club was'Miss Culter. Spanish Club had six officers with President, Karen Schlewtzg Vice-Presi- dent, Vicki Wilkalis, Secretary, Susan Keesee, Treasurer, Anne Drayton, His- torian, Meridith Hawkesg Reporter, Bonnie Thomas. Mrs. Montenegro was their guide.
