S 'HX Talent Xpressed Through rama All the world's a stage, as McNary students acted out various parts in drama productions. Mrs. Donna Beals, drama instructor, directed the plays whose characters came from the drama classes. The Lottery was presented to the English classes December 4 and 5, followed by Han- sel and Gretel which entertained the public on December 14. Lead roles were played by Sheila DeLapp, John Liven- good and Donna VanWarmer. A comedy, All Because of Agatha featured Chris Fletcher, Tom Ulmer, Cindy Lee, Ben Dake, Cathy McCall, Kristi Smither, Stcve Purcell, Roberta Blair, and Kari Quanbeck. Speakers Speak Varied speaking talents were utilized through two Speech Workshop productions. Under the direction of Mr. Michael Hibbard. L'Spoon River Anthologyn was presented to the English classes on the third week of school. lt was a series of monologues which brought the dead to life again in a dramatic fashion. In order to raise money for the Speech Workshop fund, 'fSeeds in a Dry Pod was per- formed on March 6. The program combined parts of The Thurber Carnival, f'Spoon River, and f'You're a Good Man, Charlie Brownj' with musical numbers that featured Kristi Smither, Paul Losie and the Acapulco Brass, Chris Fletcher, and The Newcomers. Lance Cooley also offered two humorous readings. Far upper left: Randy Hledik and Candy Wolfer discuss coming events in The Lottery.
