A Promise f Spring A Promise of Spring -the senior banquet. The event was held for the grad- uating class of '69 on the night of May 23. Mark Hafferkamp was Master of Ceremonies of the event that was held in the cafeteria. Lance Cooley gave a humorous after dinner speech entitled Tomorrow, Steve Salt read the class prophecy and Gary Richie spoke on the Senior Challenge. Guest speaker, Mr. John Salisbury, commentator of KLX Radio gave his g'Message for Amerieansf, Entertaining seniors were the Jim and Thomas Folksingers and Gururu Sha- zami, a soothsayer who turned out to be Lance Cooley. Baccalaureate services started at 8:00 p.m. June 1 in the gymnasium. Rev. Robert Mulkey of the Court Street Chris- tian Church gave the sermon Time Out for Service.
