Shown above is Pat Kennedy, practicing the butterfly, during a practice session. Throughout the 67-69 Swimming Season, McNary was well represented by their teams. The boys team won the first meet of their short history against Lebanon. Although the girls were not as successful as the boys, they still made a fine showing. November 4 found the Celtics at Willamette University for the state championships. Although drawing bad field posi- tion at the start, lVlcNary advanced to 14th in a state renouned for producing great distance runners.
