Excitement Friday night was full of activity with the Homecoming Show and Coronation, eleven singing, dancing, and mime acts en- tertained the crowd as |im McCurdy of KTAB-TV emcee’d the event. Following a short intermission with alumnus David Pomer- mke and his guitar at the microphone, the winners of the talent competition were announced. Tommy Houghteling and Shane Brue placed third with their musical mime. Theta Chi Lambda came in second with their musical dance version of One,” and Ra Atum took first with their rendition of Lean on Me. The Show came to a close as the class favorites. Chief McMurry, and Reservation Princess were introduced. Dr. Kim stalled the beating of the drum, and designated represent- atives took their turn. Tommy Houghteling, Freshman Class President, led the student body to Wah Wahtaysee Park with the drum for the pep rally, bonfire, and tailgate party. 8 — Homecoming

Homecoming — 7 The Native American Art Exhibit, a new tradition at McMurry, held its second showing during Homecoming '88. Artists displayed their work in the Braniff Lounge of the Campus Center. The six displays were works of Darran Cooper, Connie lenkins, Mike Dan- iel, Robert Annesley, Ben Harjo, and Troy Anderson, whose work appears on the cover of the TOTEM '89. The exhibit was held from Thursday through Saturday with an audience present at all times.
