To those who have been members of the McMurry Indian Band, these words are remindful of a sign which hangs in the McMurry Band Hall and also of the life .of the man who has been instrumental in the founding of the Indian Band. Dr. Raymond T. By- num has directed the McMurry Band since 1946 and is one of the best known bandmasters in the Southwestern Uni- ted States.
