MichtHIc Chapman 66 We had to work a Jot harder to be as good as we were last year. 99 - Robin Clason At one of this years’ basketball games. Robin Clason shows a lot of spirit and enthusiasm. Varsity Rally (top to bottom): Cathie Butler, Becky White. Leslie Ny-quist, Robin Clason, Elizabeth Aleman, and Karmen Fore. RALLY SHOWS SPIRIT GR-I-Z-Z-L-I-E-S spells spirit, and spirit is what it’s all about, as the rally cheers on at games and pep assemblies. The rally is a very important part of Mac High. Without them the crowds would be unorganized and lost when it comes to cheering. Behind the scenes, the rally is in charge of organizing rooter buses, buying food for the football team, and making spirit signs, and overall support. These girls work very hard to keep up team moral and school spirit. When asked how she felt about being on rally Junior, Robin Clason replied “I love being on rally because it allows one to be a part of sports in a non-competitive way.” Elizabeth Alemen added “It’s an experience I’ll never forget. It’s a lot of fun and we meet lots of people. AH of us girls were never really good friends but rally brought us to be best friends. Rally isn’t really a title, it’s a challenge, it’s not easy, but it’s worth it!” This summer the girls attended the USA Cheerleading Camp. They did very well. The girls received one superior trophy and four superior blue ribbons. The rally is advised by Mrs. Shari Girod.
