Students gather for an assembly in the gymnasium of the old high school, as they have for many years. This has been the scene of many high school activities. As seen here, the traditional seating arrangement is Seniors and Juniors seated on the main floor, and Sophomores and Freshmen in the balcony. This year marks the last year of the high school in this building.

Senior Class officers were, from left to right: Terry Norman Russell, Vice President; Sandy Flanigan, Horton, sergeant-at-arms; Sue Savage, Treasurer; Secretary; and Don Strayer, President. Seniors Finish Year in Old Building The Senior class of 1960 has proven to be an outstanding class during their four years of high school. This class had many exceptional students that will be leaders in the future. Included in their class were some of the most outstanding students in scholarship, athletics, and leadership that have graduated from McMinnville. The students of 1960 will be the last to finish their senior year in the old high school building. Next year will mark the opening of a new high school. The Seniors chose as their colors Silver and Blue and for their flower the Rose. The class gift was a painting of a grizzly bear on the wall of the new high school gym. The class motto was “Those who don’t advance fall behind.” RICHARD ADAMS LAWRENCE ANDERSON SANDY BALLARD RUTH BARKER
