f Mr. Myers, our very friendly principal, is always smiling. Although he has a busy schedule, he gives unsparingly of his time to each student. He is interested in the educational program to meet the needs of all the students of the McMinnville community. His pleasing personality and sense of humor has made him a friend of students and parents. 10

Our board of education is composed of five members who are elected by the voters of School District No. 40. They have been extremely busy this year making many important decisions. Besides determining school policies, choosing our educational staff, and determining what our educational program should be, they had the very important task this year of expanding the building program. This will include the addition of two classroom wings and music and shop facilities to the present junior high to meet the needs of a growing high school, the remodeling of the present high school building to meet the needs of a junior high and the construction of a multi-purpose room at Adams elementary school besides the erecting of a new elementary school. Mr. Baisch, vice-principal, helps students to plan schedules from which they receive the greatest educational advantages. Besides being our very busy vice-principal, he is our basketball coach. He came to McMinnville High School nine years ago. He has been a teacher and a coach all nine years. 11
