Llterary TRAVELS OF PROFESSOR NOIT KNOT I have spent more than forty years as the instructor of metabolism abrogen esis demonology etcetera m the Wood B Learned School One day I corrected eighty five papers in Fos Forus and found that ninety students had failed in one of my exceedingly simple tests As a result I xlsrted Dr Eatem Alive You don t dissipate do you? he asked me severely You ve not a fast liver or anything of that sort have you3 I hesitated a moment but summoning my courage answt red that I some times drank a little tea The doctor looked very grave then and said he was afraid there wasnt much hope but I might try traveling This advice distressed me greatly but I knew I must accept my fate S approaching a man at the depot I asked him how the tram service was Wall said he they advertise one tram a day but you and me know how them advertisements exaggerate The next morning I boarded the 8 75 tram with fear and trembling A large man got on at one of the stations and sat down beside me He proved to be very loquatious and told me much about the surrounding countrv For example I asked How is the country d1v1ded5 By earth quakes he answered Before I could satisfy my curiosity further the porter walktd up briskly an asked Shall I rest brush you off sub?
