You forgot to put on your trousers, Max: If I could get someone to invest only a thousand dollars in a new scheme of mine, I could make some money. Keith: I-low much could you make? Max: Why, a thousand dollars. Jim to Terry: My father used to help me with math, but since I started- - geometry, he says I'll get a lot more out of it if I do it myself. Bill to Raymond: Dick was going to have an announcement party, but the engagement was broken, so he went ahead and called a narrow escape party. Sign in the Crooksville Laundry: Leave your clothes here, ladies, and spend the afternoon having a good time. Jokes Clerk to Mr. Simmons buying a typewriter: Now here's a bargain- ----owned by an elderly lady who never went over thirty words a minute. Doug: Boy. you should have seen that fish I caught. It weighed ZS pounds Franklin: You should have seen the one I caught. It was six feet long and weighed 190 pounds, but it also had two feet and a badge. State Patrolman to Butch: Of course you didn't hear any siren! You had already passed through the sound barrier. Margaret asked You poke your head out of the car and and you' re plumb out of town1 Robert, filling out an accident report blank wrote: I was backing out of Frederick's Body and Fender Repair Shop and by the time I had backed out far enough to see what was coming, it already had.
