clgenior Class fH,S'l'0lyM On September 7, 1954, thirty-seven students wandered through the doors of McLuney High School, Our class advisor for this year was Mr. Montgomery. Our class officers were: President - Raymond Frameg Vice-President - Vonnie Hayhurstp Secretary - Kay Hinkley Treasurer - Sue Paskell. We had a number of boys on the basketball team. They were Raymond Frame, Don Nelson, Terry Pletcher, Bill Younkin, Franklin Tracy, Jerry Rambo, Larry 'I-louk, and Robert Dickerson. During the year we lost six members of our class. They were Everett Hill, Kenneth Penrod, Terry Shirkey, Charles Spung, Linda Bowen, and Walter Kinney, We had members in the band and glee club. On September 6, 1955, thirty-one students were back for another year. We were sorry to see that we had lost Shirley Turner, Kay Rose, and David Southall during the summer, but we gained Rachel Lewis the second semester. Our class advisor for this year was Mr. Herriott. Our class officers were President - Raymond Frameg Vice- President - Artie Danisong Secretary - Kay Hinkleg Treasurer - Margaret Weiner. This year we also had boys on the basketball team. They were Jim Murphy, Franklin Tracy, Terry Pletcher, Don Nelson, Raymond Frame, and Bill Younkin, We also had four cheerleaders. They were Joyce Pletcher, Kay Hinkle, Nancy Gossman, and Margaret Weiner. We had members in the band. On September 4, 1956. twenty-nine of us began our junior year. During the summer we had lost Artie Danison and Joyce Pletcher. Then during the term we lost Paul Erwin, Kay Hinkle, Ruth Ann Kaufman, and Rosie Riffle. To brighten our spirits Teddy Smith and Alberta Whaley became members of our class. Our class advisor for this year was Mrs. Simmons. Our class officers were: President - Vonnie I-layhurstg Vice-President - - Don Nelson: Secretary - Donna Embrey: Treasurer - Rachel Lewis. Boys on the basket- ball team were Raymond Frame, Terry Pletcher, Don Nelson, Franklin Tracy, Bill Younkin. We also had four cheerleaders. They were Donna Embrey, Rachel Lewis, Nancy Gossman, and Margaret Weiner, We had members in the band. On September 4, 1957, twenty-five of us were back for our final year. During vacation we lost Donna Embrey and Sue Paskell. Then during the term we lost Betty Estep and Sue Bateson, Dick Smith joined our class the last semester to make a total of twenty- two, Mr. Herriott was our class advisor. Our class officers were: President - Vonnie l-layhurstg Vice-President - Terry Pletcherg Secretary - Margaret Weinerg Treasurer - Rachel Lewis: News Reporter - Raymond Frame. Boys on the basketball team were Don Nelson, Bill Younkin, Raymond Frame, Terry Pletcher, and Franklin Tracy. The cheer- leaders of our class were Nancy Gossman, Rachel Lewis, and Margaret Weiner. Senior Class Will We, the students of the Senior Class of 1958, of McLuney High School, in Perry County, of the state of Ohio, being of absent mind, do not make, publish, or declare this our last will and testament, in the way it follows: To Mr. Hex-riott, we leave a more studious class and hope they will be less trouble- some. To Mr. Frame, we leave the memories of our discussion circle in democracy class. To Mrs. Ludwig, we leave the milk in the Home Economics Room. To Mr. Simmons, we leave the candy man. To Mrs. Simmons, we leave the Senior Home Room. To Mr. Wolfe, we leave the paint on the lab table. To Mrs. Donathan, we leave the remaining Glee Club. To Mr. Mokros, we leave a better-sounding band. To the Junior Class we leave our ability to get excused. To the Sophomore Class we leave two years of fun and study. To the Freshman Class we leaventhe complete understanding of high school.
