Baseball At the end of the season, the Foxes have a record ot three Wins and six losses. Out ot 245 times at bat, M.T.H.S. had 67 hits, giving them a total batting average of .277. Out of 27 times at bat, Bob Lee had 14 hits for the highest batting average of .5l8, out of 25 times at bat, Doyle Lee had 9 hits for a batting average of .36U. Dick Deitz also had a batting average of .360 with 9 hits out of 25 times at bat. Leon Hall had a battng average of. 321 for 9 hits out of 28 times at bat. Coy Webb and Don Kreher followed with batting averages of .266 The first game was with Galatia and won 6 to O. The Foxes traveled to Norris City next and lost by 2 to l. Then to Harrisburg, 4 to 2. The Foxes took Norris City by a score of 10 to 6, but only to lose the next three to Carrier Mills 3 to 2, Mt. Vernon 5 to 1, Carrier Mills 6 to O. Then to come back to beat Galatia, for the second time, 1U to 1. The Foxes participated in the Harrisburg Tourney and drew Shawneetown, and lost 3 to 2. 46627

Track The first McLeansboro Foxes track team in several years got off to a fast start by defeating the Carrier Mill's Wildcats by the score of 80-39. Our second meet of the season was between our freshman and sophomore squad and Fairfield. Fairfield, being more experienced, defeated the locals 81-41.
