Future Business Leaders of America The F.B.L.A. is one of the newest clubs in this high school, also, one ot the busiest. The programs were educational as well as entertaining. These programs included bus- iness tours, demonstrations, and a talk by a business man. The F.B.L.A. managed the business end of the magazine sales campaign. The money making projects handled by the F.B.L.A. in- cluded the candy and pencil vending machines. The one big project this year was the Spring Carnival which they co-sponsored with the Thrifty Shop Club. They also gave the assem- bly program in March. The boys are trained in the funda- mentals of farming, a vocation which is most important in our modern World. This year the McLeansboro Chapter received more money at the Sectional PPA. fair than any other chapter in the state. The club members netted tour hundred dollars. The Leadership Training School was held at Eldorado. Other scheduled events were Parliamentary Procedure, Public Speaking, and Soil and Livestock ludging Con- tests. The boys planned many social get to- gethers with other organizations. Along with the G.A.A,, the boys held a Christmas party. For the first time in history, our PPA. boys nominated and elected an PPA. Sweetheart. The girl chosen as Sweetheart received an f America Dairy Day float official PPA. jacket from the chapter, Then in the latter part of May the boys had their Parent and Son Banquet.
