CAROLYN FAGAN FRED BROCKETT Most Popular Girl and Boy The boy of the year was Fred Brockett. He took a prominent part in all school affairs. He was a member of the band during all four years in high school, and has at all times proved his loyalty to M.T.H.S. Fred's Warm and friendly smile, his quick Wit, and his cheery greeting have won for him a Warm spot in the hearts of his classmates and faculty alike. Carolyn Fagan was acclaimed the most popular girl after an exciting race in which Elva Tucker ran a close second. Caro1yn's warm friendliness, school spirit, and leadership have combined to make her the most popular girl in M.T.H.S. Carolyn's high school record insures a happy, successful life. Congratulations, Fred and Carolyn, may your future be as successful as your high school careers have beenl Your many friends salute youl K D

Busby, Robinson. Westbrook, Smith, Hood 1955 Junior-Senior Prom Queen and Attendants On the evening of May 14, 1955, the junior ciass sponsored a prom for the senior class. The crowning of the prom queen highlighted the events of the evening. The students at the banquet, preceding the prom, were given ballots and 1ater cast their vote as they entered the prom. At 11:00 p.m. the Coronation ceremony was held. Martha Westbrook was chosen queen. Barbara Busby, Doris Robinson, Lou Ann Smith, and Barbara Hood, were chosen as her attendants. They were escorted by their escorts of the evening. 44132

Seated: Brinkley. Appel Standing: Webb, Iohnson, Brockett, Tucker Senior Officers and Sponsors Every class has its memories. Our memories have grown with us through four years as we rushed to classes, crammed for exams, followed the teams, and danced at the prom. Perhaps, then, as we take our long, last look over the years, those memories that we have collected for tour years will come creeping back like this- l953-As a new class, We elected the following officers: Stephen Bell, president, Fred Brockett, vice-presidentg Velma Brown, secretary-treasurer, and Keith lones, student leader. Mrs. Wagner and Mr. Gholson were elected sponsors. 1954-l-low great it was to come back the second year as seasoned veterans! Officers this year were: Don Donelson, president, Audrey Wiggens, vice-president, Kathryn Hunt, secretary-treasurerg ludith Knight, student leader, with Miss Afflack and Mr. Foster as sponsors. 1955-Our third yearewe were upperclassmen! At our class meeting Gail Ballard was elected presidentg Audrey Wiggens, vice-president, Kay I-larre, secretary-treasurer, and Ronald Prince, student leader. Class sponsors were Miss Appel, Mr. Brinkley, Mr. Sullivant, and Mr. Foster. Our class play, Brother Goose, was a huge success. In May we were hosts and hostesses to the seniors at the lunior-Senior Banquet and Prom. l956gAt last we were seniors! Officers for our last year at M.T.l-l.S. were: Tony lohnson, presidentg Elva Tucker, vice-presidentg Anna Lee Webb, secre- tary-treasurer, Fred Brockett, student leader, with Miss Appel and Mr. Brinkley as sponsors. The class play, Our Miss Brooks, was a success. At the lunior- Senior Banquet and Prom, we seniors were guests of the juniors. GIS?
