Members of the Board are unselfishly dedicated to all those things which make an outstanding school system and com- munity. These are some of the reasons for the growing prominence of the Mc- Lean Schools.

Dear Students: Looking back over the school year of 1958-'59, we have witnessed many joyous and happy occasions. We have made friends and companions that we will remember for a life-time. Many honors have come to McLean High School because of the fine work of her students who represented her on numerous occasions. May this year's edition of the TUMBLEWEED be a remembrance to you of your high school days here in McLean. Our sincere appreciation goes out to the Editor, the Staff, and Miss Evelyn Steelman, the sponsor of the TUMBLEWEED, for the molding together of these events and making them live forever in our yearbook. On behalf of the faculty and student body, let me express sincere appreciation for this splendid edition of the TUMBLEWEED. To you, the graduating Seniors of 1959, we want you to be assured that your Alma Mater will always wish you well and be interested in you and your achievements. As you go from this school, you go with the best wishes of your faculty, and with the as- surance of confidence in your capacity to function efficiently in the days to come. To you, the student body of McLean High School, I extend my best wishes and sincere appreciation for your cooperation in making this a joyous and wonderful school year. Sincerely yours, Freeman Melton, Jr.
