JUNIOR ACTIVITIES The Junior Class of McLean High School is organized as follows President, Jimmie Don Morris, Vice President, Ted Slmmons,Secretary, Charlene Roach, Treasurer, Sue Davis Our Sponsors are Coach Larry Sanders and Mrs Dee Coleman, and our Room Mothers are Mmes Haskell Smith, Murry Boston, J E Shortt, Frank Harlan, Olin Davis, R L McDonald, and Hal Mounce Our activities, other than class work, began in October with a party at the home of Mrs Coleman In January we selected and ordered our senior rings and they are to be delivered soon after school begins next fall Also ln January, the photographer from Marquise Studio in Enid, Oklahoma, This is always a big day in junior history, for on this particular day each junior comes dressed ln his best bib and tucker' and the rest of the stu dents have a. chance to see what good looking seniors they will have next ,BIT February 22 was declared Junior Day ln our fair city, and on that day, the streets were fairly infested with juniors Some were shining shoes, some washing windows and doing other mental jobs, while still others were selling chances on a dressed hen to be raffled off later in the day, and iincidentally, Coach heldthe lucky tlcketb others were preparing for thehorseracetobeheldlntheaiternoon A food sale was also in progress, and the efforts of the day netted the class the neat sum of S145 OO In carrying outthese plans the class was divided mto two teams, under the captains Bill Boston and Sue Davis Boston's side lost and consequently had to entertain the winning side with a party, which was a most enjoyable affair The Class sponsored the presentation of 'The Shining Hour staged by The West Theah-e ln March, and in April they presented the play, Tw1xteen ' to a very enthusiastic audience Thecllmaxofthe yen-'s activities was the Junior Senior Banquet, held the night od April 24. The theme of the banquet was The Gay Nlnetles' , lndln our humble opinion, ltwasthebest ever held in the history of M H S made pictures of the individual members of the class and of our sponsors. , - K !
