SENIOR CLASS POEM Remember the fun we’ve had here, Remember when you're away, Remember the friends we’ve made here, And don’t forget to come back some day. Nancy Haning, our Homecoming Queen, With an ISU freshman can often be seen. Larry Heck, a hard-working lad. While on the farm helps his dad. Janice Austin, quiet and blond. Everyone knows of whom she 's fond. Bobby Baker, though not from the Senate, Would like to see the Cards win the pennant. Carol Beyer, president of our band, Can always be counted on to lend a helping hand. Beverly Bode, our best bowler by far, Can oft' be found in Atlanta driving a car. Dan Bristow, a fine athlete. In any sport is hard to beat. Bobby Bums, quiet and shy, From him we never hear a sigh. Donna Bums, laughing and gay. Will soon be employed by IAA. Candy Canfield, our engineer to be. She’ll succeed you wait and see. To Connie Coyle the honor goes. Of blushing the quickest just like a rose. Judy Crutchley with never a frown, Keeps everyone laughing as our class clown. Gary Dean, who appears quite shy, Is really a nice, all-around guy. Bonnie Demling could put on a style review, She's always popping out in something new. John Dennison, dark and tall, Tried his hand this year at basketball. Ron Follis, who talks real slow, Was a big hit in our Christmas show. Jeane Foust, soon to be a bride, Her long, blond hair seems to be her pride. Cathy Fox, always so merry. Is planning to be a secretary. Gary Freeman? Well, a good name is stringbean. Few places that he and his car haven't seen. Linda Glaser, whose nickname is Tink , Is a great girl; don’t you think? Brenda Longworth, who is musically inclined, At IWU you’ll be able to find. Pam McCubbin, cheerful as a bird, Heck seems to be her favorite word. Marla Morrison, who is Europe bound, Can with a certain senior boy be found. There's one thing in this school that can’t be beat, And that is Bobby Pitt's feet. Terri Ross, if given a chance, Would turn every party into a dance. Judy Schumm, a very talkative lass, Comes in late to every class. David Sherman, known as Ally’’ to all, Can often be found having a ball. Sandy Smith, a charming lass. Gets the best grades in the senior class. Then there’s Bonnie Spaulding, who best part of the day. Is getting a letter from far away. M-W’s Jeff Starkey is pretty fast, And therefore has an athletic past. Dorothy Summers with short, curly hair, Never seems to have a care. Linda Taylor, quite a jewel, Will be very glad to get out of school. Joyce Troyer, who is a Western fan, Enjoys dating a Rich man. Paul Wampler, our shot put man, Has become a mod clothes fan. Kathy Winstead, so precise and neat. Is a diligent student and hard to beat. Remember the orange and the blue. And all our fond memories, too. Let your heart belong to M-W, For M-W belongs to you!
