Class Will To the oncoming Freshman Class, we leave the hope that you may enjoy your four years of high school as we have ours. To the Sophomores, we leave our ability to earn money. You'll need it next year for the prom. To the Juniors, we will our supreme knowledge of preparing for a prom. To the Seniors, we leave you with the wish that you graduate in as much glory as we did To the faculty and school board, we give back the silence that was once in the halls of M-W before our class appeared. To everyone at M-W, we leave our books, pencils, and desks. They are in good shape; we didn't use them very much. AND TO THE FOLLOWING INDIVIDUALS: I, Leroy Osborn, will my ability to get along with teachers and students to Junior Foley. Have fun, Junior! I, Fred Paulsen, will my one more question to Stormy Garr. I, Janice Runge, will my position as drum majorette to Sharon Runge. I, Martha Lou Sampson, will my ability to work on the mimeograph to Sherri Taylor. I, Gary Swearingen, will my love for M-W High to Larry McGuire. I, Sherry Walters, will my ability to get jokes to Carolyn Swan. I, Helen Bode, will my position as editor of the Hi-Lite to Sherri Taylor. I, Terry Bruce, will my sweat socks to John Fox. They're good for another year! I, Coley Chaudoin, will my ability to eat and sleep to whoever needs it. I, Bonnie Cisco, will my blonde hair to Beverly Watkins. Now you won't be teased about your red hair, Beverly. I, Jill Coppenbarger, will my ability to get along with Judy Shatto to Billy Grubbs. I, Kenneth Craig, will my quietness to Jeanette Nelson. I, Linda Durham, will my position as senior class treasurer to Penny McFarland. I, Malcolm Fawley, will my size to Jerry Starkey. We, Karol Fitchhorn, Bobby Long, and Sharon Ruble, will our ability to skip school and not get caught to Sue Davis, Charlotte Schumm, and Sharon Runge. I, Larry Finfrock, will all the world's problems to Stormy Garr. I, Russell Craig, will all my good luck with girls to Gary Piefer. I, Duane Sampson, will my ability to get nineth hours from Fred Leach to Jon Harris. I, Jerry Witzig, will my brains to Bill Grubbs. He needs them! I, Maurice Kirby, will my good looks to a fellow who needs them, Darel Leach. I, Sheryl Michaels, will my cheerleading position to anyone who is lucky enough to get it. Lead them on to victory! I, Rose Anne Fox, will my job of typing for the Hi-Lite to Patricia Lewis. I, Charlene Grant, will my position as co-editor of the Hub to Charlotte Schumm. I, Anne Hanes, will my vacant space on the Hub Staff to Carolyn Haning. I hope you do a good job. I, Gay Harris, will my ability to get along with Junior Foley to Verna Fields. I, John Hoose, will my ability to sprain ankles and two hundred feet of slightly used tape to Roger Johnson. They might come in handy, Roger. I, Yvonne Hopkins, will my ability to get along with Miss Berry to A. C. Lindsay. I, Linda Lee, will my ability to get along with the Fox's to Jeanette Nelson. I, Judy Morgan, will my old addresses to Sharon Runge. I, Claudia O'Brien, will my ability to get along with everybody to Sharon Van Hoosier. It comes in handy, Sharon. I Class Prophecy As we two were traveling in a new jet non-stop from New York to M-W city, we met after graduating together nineteen years ago. Since we had no immediate plans, we decided to look up our graduating class of 1961. The first person we found after landing at the airport was Jerry Witzig, who told us he was • B«fui as president of M-W Airlines, the largest in the world. ;.'ie way into town we passed a beautiful farm. We found a sign indicating the farm be- fl to Ken and Russell Craig, two of our former classmates. Ken said they had taken their agriculture teacher's advice and started a sheep farm which had now become the larg- em east of the Mississippi. After leaving the farm, we saw a sign which read, Hoose Gas Company. We wondered if tK might be owned by John Hoose. We drove down the long, paved drive and finally came to a r e building. The name plate John Hoose, President, was on the front door. The office was locked, so we ventured to the next large brick structure. We walked in and noticed that it was c ompany hospital, of which the former Charlene Grant was head nurse. Charlene said she just leaving for town and would be glad to show us around and help us find our old class- mates. As we were nearing town, Charlene told us that Janice Runge had become head of the world's public relations department in the re-located United Nations Building. Soon we could see the towering buildings of M-W City. Charlene pointed to a tall edifice, thr new Union Building, with Fred Paulsen as its executive president. We learned by reading the daily paper, edited by Helen Bode, that our own Mike Bristow was now manager of the Cardinals. hile walking down the street, we came to a large department store. Charlene said it was one of a nation-wide owned by the former Claudia O'Brien. We walked farther and found a huge building which we learned was a beauty salon run by the former Carol Lee and her assistants, Bonnie Cisco and Sara Fields. Along with this beauty salon was a dress designing studio. We walked in and found Gay Harris and Linda Lee busily at work designing for one of the most famous popular singers, Yvonne Hopkins, who was plan- ning a world tour along with her business manager and secretary, Judy Morgan. We talked to Judy and learned that Yvonne would be appearing at the famous M-W Club, which had just been opened by two of our classmates, Karol Fitchhorn and Bobby Long. We went to the club and sat in on rehearsal. Much to our surprise, the band was led by Coley Chaudoin. Coley said he had had his own band for five years. We had yet to see one of the greatest improvements to M-W City, its own college. Since the town was so large, we decided to rent a car. We walked two blocks and saw a large sign which read 'Gary's Rent-A-Car. The owner--none other than Gary Swearingen came out to talk to us. Gary said he had several of these stations all over the area. We drove across town and arrived on the campus of M-W College. A guide took us on a tour of the campus and its buildings. The first building was a new, modern laboratory. After stepping inside, we found another of our classmates, the former Bobbye Selby, hard at work on a new scientific discovery. Next to the Science Building was the Home Economics Building. We found out that Anne Hanes was the homemaking instructor but was on a trip with the students, touring the Sampson Paint Company, headed by Duane Sampson. By reading the bulletin board we found that the girls were going to hear a talk given by the famous interior decorator, Rose Fox. The follow- ing day, Sherry Walters, the famous homemaker who had just published her own recipe book, was going to give a lecture. We were naturally anxious to see the athletic department of the school. We walked over to the huge gym and found Coach Leroy Osborn giving his boys a few pointers on baseball. We asked Leroy about his old friend, Larry Finfrock, and learned that Larry had just established h his own law firm in New York City. On our way back from the city, Charlene told us that Sharon Ruble was now one of the tOD officials in the WACS. We soon passed a large factory owned by Maury Kirby specializing in cabinet making. Charlene said that Maury bought all his wood from Malcolm Fawley, who owned and operated one of the largest lumber yards of its kind. e had to stop because of a parade going through town. We were stopped where we could see the parade very clearly. A large convertible went by, and we noticed Martha Lou Sampson in it. It seems she had just married a Navy admiral. The parade progressed, and we saw pictures of Linda Durham. It was time for the city election, and Linda was running for city treasurer. We were very glad we had the opportunity to visit M-W City, and we enjoyed visiting the area and our old classmates, but we must get back to our work as English Professor at a famous girls' college and baseball scout in the east for the M-W City Cardinals Sheryl Michaels Terry Bruce 23
