Fall Fall brings the opening of school. While it is ahappy time for many, it is agony for others. The summer is still fresh in the mind for most, and getting up early again is hard to adjust to. But there are always a few who enjoy the change. The sounds of lockers slamming, teachers lecturing, girls chattering, and buses pulling away familiarizes everybody to the routine of school. The football season is underway, and most McLeanites try to be faithful to , the red and gray team every Friday night. Powderpuff, the most exciting time of the year for some junior and senior girls, is around the bend, and there is talk of jolting the juniors and smashing the seniors. Clubs hold their annual meetings to encourage new members to join. The yearly magazine drive run by the student government manages to make money with the help of the eager freshmen and soph- omores. The local hangouts such as the stairwells and the senior court are filled with both familiar and new faces. By the end of November the sea son is well underway, adjustment to school life and the closing of the many fall activities help to complete the fall season. Anticipation of a good winter season begins to fill the minds of all.
