HOMECOMING Statesmen are rotten to the core! shouted the little green worm atop the Senior float as Felicia Lloyd, es¬ corted by Charles Horne, was crowned this year ' s Homecoming Queen. Linda Starbuck, Queen 71, returned to crown Felicia along with Princesses Travis Horel and Joanie Monahan. The high-stepping High¬ lander Band and Drill Team outdid themselves during half-time while Cheerleaders and Songleaders des¬ perately tried to prove their prepara¬ tions worthwhile. With it not really their night and playing against a strong Marshall squad, McLean scored one touchdown, but was not able to hold off for a better than 28-6 loss. Undaunted, many relived The Days of Wine and Roses on the following night.
