PROM 72 Entering through the grin of an enormous clown, The Circus made its way to the 1972 Junior-Senior Prom. Maybe on a tightrope herself, Lenny Granger, escorted by Tom Seelinger, was crowned that year ' s queen. With the help of candy apples, peanuts, and joyous clowns, all aspects of the circus came to life. The ringmaster, assited by the balloon man, managed to keep the snakes and gorillas in their cages. With Prom 73 taking place at the Ramada Inn instead of the gym, the decorations held added meaning for those who attended in 72 . Under the supervision of Robin Con¬ nor and Steve Decker, the gym had been successfully transformed into a visual memory of our youthful in- noncence, innocence left behind not quite as eagerly as we had expected it to be. n

POWDERPUFF The Junior Jockettes almost pulled one over on the Senior Sad Sacks at our annual Powderpu ' ff confrontation. Excited by Dorothy Shilling ' s running, Coddy Marx ' s quarterbacking, and the eagerness of their first-year Coaching Squad, the Juniors rose quickly to a 6-0 lead, which held until half-time. After half-time and finally ready to play ball, the Seniors erupted for a touchdown by Teri Norman plus two extra points by Joanie Monahan. Egged on by their cheerleaders and the brilliant tactics of their more ex¬ perienced coaches, the Seniors brought the game to its 14-6 con¬ clusion with a touchdown toss from Sally Johnson to Kim Walker. Once again, the Class of 73 . . .
