One of the most dynamic and important areas of study today, important not only to high school students but to every American as well, is in the field of Social Studies. As our world grows smaller it becomes even more necessary for everyone to better understand and know about other cultures as well as his own. The Social Studies Depart- ment is attempting to do this by offering a variety of courses designed with this in mind—World Civilization, American Civilization, Modern History, Geography, Econ- omics, Sociology, U.S. History, U.S. Government, World History and Ancient and Medieval History.
